Adirondack Café Vero Stout

If you don't know by now, I'm a sucker for stouts, especially coffee stouts. I liked this one and would have ordered a bigger glass if I could have.

Adirondack English Strong Ale

This beer was malty and not my favorite.

Adirondack Beaver Tail Brown Ale

This brown was easy to drink. It had a nice, nutty flavor. I would have enjoyed a pint of this, rather than just the little sampler.

Adirondack Ophelia

I believe this beer was classified as a sour ale. If not, it should have been. It was easy to drink and would be a nice "introduction" to sour beers for someone unfamiliar with the style. There was a nice apple flavor to it and much lighter than expected. I'd definitely drink it again.

Adirondack Raspberry Watermelon

If you like fruit beers, you'd love this one. The raspberry and watermelon paired well together and overall it was a pretty good beer. I don't think I'd drink it regularly, but it was definitely a nice treat on a warm summer afternoon.

Adirondack Maibock

This seems like it was a rare beer for them to brew, but it was quite tasty. We had pretzels as snacks and it paired well with the saltiness.  I'd drink it again.

Adirondack Bear Naked Ale

This is, once again, not a style I love. I don't think I'd drink it all the time. Just not my favorite overall.

Adirondack Dirty Blonde

This was a cloudy wheat. It was easy to drink, but underwhelming overall.

Adirondack Bobcat Blonde Lager

I'm not a fan of lagers, especially the light ones. At 3.8% ABV, it would be a good sessionable summer beer, but I don't think I'd drink it typically.

Pub Review: Adirondack Pub and Brewery

On a random day we ended up at the Adirondack Brewery up in Lake George, New York. We had tried several beers of theirs before, as they are quite plentiful in the grocery stores around here. From the bottle, we were typically underwhelmed by their beers, but still decided to give them a try. We ended up with a sampler each. They force you to go with 3 of their main beers and you get to pick the next 3. The beers were definitely better on tap than they are when you get them in the bottle.

We sat the bar on a busy, pre-summer, Saturday afternoon. Our bartender was pretty great and we had some snacks that were tasty. Overall, we had a pretty good experience and enjoyed ourselves. I'd come again if I was in the area, but I don't think I'd make a special trip.
