Southern Tier Imperial Compass

This beer was quite active - I know you can see those floaty bits in the beer.  They were suspended and didn't fall all to the bottom, even while drinking.  Overall, this beer was very good and easy to drink.  It has an ABV of about 9% but doesn't drink like it.  This is one you should pick up when you come across it.

New England 668 Neighbor of the Beast

I really loved the can.  And the beer wasn't bad either.

21st Amendment Monks Blood

I have had Monk's Blood many a times before.  In fact, this may not be my first time reviewing this beer.  I'm reviewing again since the batch I had this spring was not as crazy banana flavored as before.  I had Monk's Blood once and loved it, then the next time it tasted like nothing but bananas, and this time it wasn't so bad.   The beer now indicates it's brewed at Cold Springs, which makes a whole different world of beer.  Maybe that is why Monk's Blood no longer tastes like bananas in a can.  Either way, if you like Belgian Strong Ales and don't mind banana this one is for you.  If you don't like bananas, stay away.

La Bière du Boucanier Red Ale

This one was okay.  We bought a combo pack with a few of the "pirate beers" and overall, I don't think it was worth what I paid.  It was easy to drink and not terrible, but nothing I'd really ever go looking for.

River North Whiskey Aged J Marie Saison

This was one of our last beers on our Denver tour.  It was so good.  It had a perfect whiskey tastes to it.  It was a great flavor and totally delicious.  Definitely one I'll be sad I can't get locally.  YUM!

Gulden Draak

Had this at Stumbling Monk.  By the time we hit this bar, I was a bit intoxicated.  It was good.  I don't remember much else except enjoying it and wanting more.

Hales Tres Fem

This was fruity, but not overpoweringly so.  I'm surprised that this is from Hale's.  At about $10 for the bottle, it was a bit steep but I'd definitely have it again.  It wasn't as sour as I expected it to be.

From the site it is a collaboration between Hales and Der Blokken brewers - all three being females, which makes the name make more sense.  I like that.  Lady power!

Barbar

The glass looked like it was continually bubbling.  It was a bit fruity.  It was the husband's beer that I snuck a few sips of.  He said it wasn't bad, but not something he'd necessarily pick up a gain.  Oh and he took a great photo of it.

Russian River Damnation

This beer was yummy to me, but was not the husbands style.  I think it tasted a bit better as it warmed up.  It was a bit yeasty though.

Allagash Grand Cru

This beer is almost syupy but without too much sugar.  It was quite heavy feeling while drinking.  Due to it's age (batch #20 seemed to be the last one brewed), it was amazingly smooth.  We think the flavors probably mellowed and blended well with age.

Sadly for you, this beer is no longer made.  It was last brewed in 2008, so you should pick one up if you see it!

North Coast Brother Thelonious

I thought this was a good beer, but seemed a bit bland.  For having a cork in it, there was no real pop in opening it up.

The hubby liked it.  I think it's just because he likes the Belgian beers more than me.

North Coast PranQster

I thought this one was ok.  Husband thought it was as described, a Belgian Golden Ale.  I don't know if it's s something I would buy again, due to style, but the hubby liked it and it does come in 4 packs.

Sound Brewery Monk's Indiscretion

This beer is delicious.  I think this is the first time I've had it bottled, but I've had it in growlers straight from the brewery a number of times.  Nothing beats a fresh growler, but overall this beer is amazing.

The Lost Abbey Inferno Ale

I was not super impressed by this one.  This is not my favorite style, but this also doesn't motivate to start trying others in this style.  Shame.

Samuel Adams & Weihenstephaner Infinium

What better way to celebrate quitting a job (knowing nothing but unemployment is waiting and planning a cross country move) than drinking a champagne beer?

This infinium is much better than 2010 was. It's quite bubbly but not overly so. It's fruity and slightly sour but not unpleasant. Really I don't like champagne so this is a nice compromise. Oh and 10.5% abv doesn't hurt either.

Unibroue Don de Dieu

This beer is lovely for how light it is.  I'd definitely suggest it for light beer drinkers.  When I was checking into this beer on Untappd I saw someone comparing this to Blue Moon.  Really, this may be nearly the same color, but it's so much more complex.  That review made me giggle.

Unibroue Maudite

This one was not nearly as tasty as the Trois Pistoles, in my opinion, but seems to be the Unibroue more known by lots of people.  It's easy to drink, but not my preferred beer from this brewery.
