Birra del Borgo My Antonia

Pretty tasty and easy to drink.  It was slightly hoppy without being overpowering.  Much more interesting than most other pilsners.  It's a great beer and even though the price is steep, you should pick up a bottle.

Dogfish Head Olde School Barleywine

Yet again, this is a great beer.  It drinks smooth and is not over powering.  It's one that is bound to please a room of beer lovers.

Dogfish Head Hellhound On My Ale

The husband loves this beer.  I am on the fence.  This IPA has some definite lemon notes to it.  It's hoppy.  It's strong.  I am only somewhat in love with this beer.  The lemon is a bit strong for me and the citrus is just so overpowering to my palate.  It's one to try if you see it - you'll either love it or hate it.

Dogfish Head Bitches Brew

Not as good as the first run of this a few years back.  It tasted more like a Russian Imperial Stout than I remembered.  It was very good, just not as mind blowing as the first time I had it.  We bought 4 bottles and I definitely suggest you at least pick up at least one for yourself.

Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA

As expected from DFH with IPAs, this was one was good.  It was very active when we poured it and the head was crazy.  The head smelled heavy of maple syrup.  The husband said he couldn't taste it, but I could taste the sweetness.  I like it.  It had a good level of hoppiness too.  One to pick up if you can.

Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA

This beer is super hoppy.  But don't let that scare you, it's still delicious and smooth.  It really lives up to all the expectations around it.  I left work early to get this beer and it is well worth it.  I wish it wasn't as rare/restricted as it tends to be here in WA.  You can somewhat taste the high alcohol, but not in a bad way. It has a very floral taste.  By all means, I suggest grabbing one if you can!

On a personal note, we drank this beer to celebrate the husband's last day in the Navy.  Cheers to ending one chapter and starting another!

Dogfish Head Positive Contact

Out of the music series I've had it's in the middle of my preference (Bitches Brew will probably always be my favorite).  It has a spice to the finish of the drink, which is ok, but not my favorite feeling.  I like the lightness and carbonation levels.

To get this beer, I drove over 40 miles to a beer store and waited in line early in the morning on Saturday for an hour before the store opened.  I was #9 of 14 or so to get this beer.  I don't know if was worth all the effort I went through to get it, but if it was just sitting on store shelves, I would have picked it up and been quite satisfied.  The husband was a big fan of it, maybe it's because he didn't have to do the waiting in line.

Dogfish Head URKontinent

Ok.  This has a similar theory to Pangaea but not carried out as well.  It was not as heavy as you'd think looking at the color.  Dogfish Head's site mentions coffee and chocolate covered cherry notes - I didn't get either.  I had seen lots of people loving this but it just didn't quite do it for me.

Dogfish Head World Wide Stout

Holy boozy.  This has a super high ABV and you can taste it.  I really think I should start aging these instead of drinking fresh so the flavors have a bit of a chance to mellow out.

The Bruery & Dogfish Head Faster, Bigger, Better, Bolder

This beer tasted like there was a delightful fruit party in my mouth.  It awakened my taste buds and is a great demonstration of the deliciousness that can result from collaboration.  It aged well from when I bought it.

The husband was not a fan of the style or smell.  Not his favorite beer.

Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron

The husband had forgotten how dark this was and was a bit shocked when he poured it out, expecting something a bit lighter (in color & ABV).  It has a nice nutty and wood flavor to it.  Though it has an ABV of 12%, it wasn't too boozy.  Overall it was quite yummy!

Dogfish Head Ta Henket

So this is what the pyramids were built for. This is an interesting beer for sure. The chamomile is definitely a taste coming out.

Husband says it tastes like honey and hay. Once he said that, I could taste it too.

Dogfish Head Faithfull Ale

I had heard this was a terrible beer, but was determined to try and judge for myself.  For once, I really wish I had listened to other people and saved myself the money.  The beer itself was so boring.

Compared to other beers from DFH, this may have been the worst thing they've ever produced.  Bitches Brew (based off the Miles Davis album) was amazing and mind blowing and was like music in my mouth.  Pearl Jam's beer was the most boring thing ever.

The only reason you should buy this beer is if you are the biggest Pearl Jam lover or if you are faithful to DFH and want to try it.

Dogfish Head Fort

Holy ABV (18%)!  This tastes kind of like raspberry alcohol, but in a good way.  It was sweet and delicious and got me a bit drunk unintentionally.  This is an overall impressive beer.

DFH suggests cellaring one of these, and I can only imagine how much more awesome that would be...I don't think there are a lot of fruit beers that would handle that.

Dogfish Head Chateau Jiahu

This is one of the "Ancient Ales" from DFH.  It is a pretty solid beer, considering that the recipe is from China so long ago.  With honey and grapes I was afraid it would be too sweet, but it was a good blend.

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA

I have no clue where the picture of this beer is.

This beer has citrus notes and is just a good amount of hoppy.  If you're first taking a sip of a 90 Minute, it's great and hoppy.  However, if you're drinking it with other hoppy beers then it just blends in nicely.  Overall, this is a solid IPA to drink.

Dogfish Head Sah'tea

This beer made us fall asleep last time we drank it.  Luckily this time we drank it early on in the night so we didn't magically fall asleep this time.  I can taste the chai and enjoy it more in beer than in tea.  Juniper berries are one of those things I have no clue if I like the flavor anywhere but in beer, but they are yummy.  Overall, this is an interesting beer.

Dogfish Head Tweason'Ale

Strawberries. Not my favorite beer. Quite fruity. Tastes like their lipgloss.

My husband says he'd like to drink this at a little girls birthday party.

I love Dogfish Head, I really do.  However, this may be one of my least favorite beers that they brew.  It smells heavily of strawberries and tastes pretty fruity as well.  DFH makes lip gloss out of this and I much prefer it in that form.

My husband's comment was that he'd prefer to drink this at a little girls birthday party.

This beer is gluten-free...maybe that's the problem.

Dogfish Head Aprihop

Once again, these were a bit aged.  They're not nearly as good as when they are fresh.  Then again, I think this years batch was better than previous years.  It left very nice lacing on the glass as we drank them.
