This beer is good if you like raspberry and fruit ales.  Try mixing it with the chocolate yeti.  It was yummmmm.

Great Divide Clayton Bigsby

Limited tap available at the brewery.  This beer was great though.  They should work on trying to bottle this one.  It knocked both our socks off!

Great Divide Rumble

This one was clearly good since we didn't think to take a picture of it until the bottom of the glass.  It was good and had a nice oak taste.  Definitely an IPA I'd drink again.

Great Divide Wolfgang

I'm not a dopplebock fan, but this one was pretty good.  I don't know if I'd ever buy a bottle of it, but I'd definitely drink a small glass of it again.

Great Divide Denver Pale Ale

Not my favorite.  I'm not a huge fan of pale ales, but I've had other pales I like better.  They could do a better job on this one I think.

Great Divide Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti

OMG this beer is so good.  It is chocolaty and delicious in all the right ways.  Per the suggestion of a fellow beer lover sitting at the bar we tried mixing this with the raspberry and it went quite well.  Overall, this is a beer you should try to find and drink ASAP.

Great Divide Belgian Style Yeti Imperial Stout

It's ok, but not nearly as good as the other Yetis.  Maybe it was just the style, but it definitely was not my favorite from Great Divide.  It was smooth and not harsh for an imperial stout, but seemed lacking in something.

Great Divide 18th Anniversary Wood Aged IPA

I love Great Divide.  They are in my top 5 favorite breweries.  But this beer was really disappointing from them.  Being advertised as a wood aged double IPA, I would have expected a lot of wood and hops.  The hops were average and the wood flavoring was missing for the most part.  For an anniversary ale from a great brewery, I'm disappointed.

Great Divide Colette

This beer was quite yellow.  More bright and yellowish than most beers.  It was surprisingly tasty for the style.  It was another fabulous beer from Great Divide in my opinion.

The husband disagreed with me and thought it wasn't bad, but it was boring.

Great Divide Old Ruffian

For a barley wine, this isn't too bad.  It's a bit hoppy and almost doesn't seem like a barley wine to me - or else I wouldn't really be drinking it.

Great Divide Hibernation Ale

Not one of my favorite Great Divide beers ever, but that could be due to the style.  It's ok, but not something I think I'd pick up again.  I feel like it was better when it was fresh, even though the brewery says it was designed for aging.

Great Divide Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti

I love Great Divide.  I think I say that every time I drink one of their beers.  Yet another beer consumed on birthday, hence no poured picture.  The beer was quite dark and thick.  It drank like a delicious tar.  The description includes a dash of cayenne, and while I hate chili beers, I either didn't notice that hint or didn't mind at all.  Definitely one I recommend!

Great Divide Nomad

Ok. A little weak for a pilsner. Great divide may want to stick to the darker beers.

This is a checz style pilsner. Maybe that's the problem? I wonder if the style is different than other pilsners I've had and enjoyed. Writing this blog is going to end up educating me as well as anyone reading it!

This one is apparently a seasonal available from January-March.

Well I looked it up, and it does seem there are some slight difference.

Beer Advocate thinks this is good.

Great Divide Claymore Scotch Ale

So I may be a bit biased since I really love Great Divide.  When I visited Denver in 2008, they were one of my favorite breweries.  I even have a shirt with their slogan, "Great Minds Drink Alike."  Who doesn't love that saying?  I love their beers.  This is one of my go-to breweries when I'm looking for something I know I'll like.

Oh and I really love Wee Heavys on the basis that they have the word Wee in their name.  I feel like a Scottish person every time I drink one and say Wee Heavy in a strange accent.  

Onto the beer now.  I really enjoy this beer.  Probably due to some of the aforementioned reasons.  However, I find it incredibly smooth to drink.  For a darker beer it's not too heavy feeling and isn't too bitter or heavy on any of the flavors.  Let's just say this beer is a wee bit delicious!

Beer Advocate folks says this beer is good.
