Saranac High Peaks Lemon Ginger

This saison was similar to drinking Sprite.  You take that how you want - maybe it's a good thing, maybe it's not.  At least it was easy to drink.

Saranac Big Moose Ale

This one was by far not my favorite beer ever.  It's an ale that drank more light a lager.  It was overly light and boring.  I'd skip this one, unless you love lagers.

Saranac Black Bear Bock

I don't typically like bocks.  I didn't really like this beer.  It was just average and boring and nothing I'd really ever choose to drink again.

Saranac 4059 Porter

As far as Saranac goes, this is one of their better beers, as least to it's style.  It was a pretty standard porter, but it was exactly what you'd expect to see in a porter.  It was easy to drink and I'd definitely have it again...I'd even consider a 6 pack of this one.

Saranac Red IPA

This beer from Saranac was ok.  It was more of a red than IPA though.  It was a bit hoppy, but not as much as I'd like in an IPA.  If you get it in a sampler pack, it's drinkable, but not one to pick up on it's own.

Saranac Chocolate Lager

This is a lighter brown than I expected.  It is definitely interesting.  It's ok to drink, but not a favorite.  As far as lagers go though, it's not awful.  Just mediocre.

Saranac Belgian Pale Ale

Light. Drinkable. Similar to a Hoegaarden. I like it quite a bit for the style.

Saranac Black Forest

Mehhhh...this is not my style at all.  It was ok, but it's hard to judge when you're not a fan of the style.  Rate Beer gives it a mid-range score and so would I.

Saranac Irish Red Ale

It's ok.  It's what you'd expect from a red ale. It seems to the be trend that the Saranac beers are just about okay in my head and nothing is over the top impressive.  They're beers I'd pick up a mixer box to take to a party and I'd give new ones a try, but I don't think they'd be standard ones I'd drink.

Saranac Pumpkin Ale

Yet another just okay beer from Saranac.  It didn't have a lot of pumpkin flavor or remind me much of any of the other spice characteristics I'd expect in a pumpkin beer.  It was drinkable, but nothing I'd look for again.

Saranac Caramel Porter

I don't know where the picture of this beer went.  It was surprisingly good and I liked it.  Possibly the best Saranac I've had.

Saranac Kolsch

This beer was a Kolsch I guess.  It was nothing special and a style I generally don't like, but it worked well to quench a thirst at a BBQ on a humid Father's Day Sunday.  Definitely not one I'd pick up again.
