Southern Tier Plum Noir

First, I love the new Southern Tier designs.  I like the labels and always enjoy their beers.  This one was tasty, but a bit sweet.  The plum flavors were delightful.  Definitely one to pick up if you see it.

Sixpoint 3Beans

I loooove it! This is one of those beers where I felt like I could keep drinking even after I finished the 4-pack at home.  Usually I get bored and want something different next time I go to pick up beers, but this time I didn't.  It was delicious and had such an interesting taste.  Definitely pick this one up.

Lost Abbey Serpent's Stout

We drank this beer after Oskar Blue's Ten Fiddy and this was definitely lighter.  The coffee flavor came through strong.  It was generally lovely.  In looking at Lost Abbey's site, it seems it's a seasonal with an early winter release.  I'm sure we bought last years that had been sitting.  Either way, it was pretty good.

Deschutes Black Butte XXIV

We grabbed this beer on tap at Slaughter County Brewing.  It was quite good and had amazing flavors.  I could definitely pick up on the figs.  The lacing was great the entire time of drinking this beer.  The husband thought it tasted like a dark barley wine.  Either way, we both loved it.

Ooh and we enjoyed it with some 3-joint sweet and spicy wings at Slaughter County.  The wings were delicious and a great pairing to the beer!  YUM, looking at the photo I now want to go back for them!

Rogue Double Mocha Porter

I love the painted blue bottle.  It was chocolaty and delicious.  However, even for how dark it is, it wasn't too heavy.  YUUUMMMMM....

Black Diamond Peak XV

OMG this smells like bourbon barrels it was aged in. Taking a whiff you'd think you were drinking the bourbon straight. The first sip has a pretty strong flavor but it quickly milds out and it has a strong dark chocolate flavor to it. It's delightful and one of the most complex porters I've drank in a while.  Two thumbs up!

Full Sail Top Sail

It's definitely got the bourbon barrel taste. It jumps out and slaps you in the face.  I think we would have done a bit better aging this, but it was good fresh anyway.  This is one I definitely suggest you pick up if you see it around.

Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break

I enjoyed this on tap at Uber Tavern in Seattle.

This beer was smooth.  It had a high ABV but wasn't boozy like a lot of other similar beers.  The husband thought it smelled delicious but it was a bit too sweet for him.
