Stone RuinTen IPA

While in Boston we read on a blog that they had RuinTen on tap, just after it was released.  We made a special trip to a bar just for this.  It was worth it.  OMG it was worth it.  This beer is amazing.  It's similar to 120 Minute by Dogfish Head, but not as sweet.  I love this beer and can guarantee if I see it again, I will get it!  This one is worth hunting down folks...yes, it's that good.

Stone 16th Anniversary IPA

Holy lemons!  This beer tastes a bit like Pledge, but in a good way.  It made me crave Chinese lemon chicken.  It was delicious and fresh tasting.  Despite the lemon, it was super easy to drink.  As it warmed up, it lost of the lemon edge.  It smelled delicious and tasted just as good.  Definitely one I'd suggest you grabbing before it's gone.

Stone Cali-Beligique IPA

This one is a good combo of a Belgian and IPA. The husband refers to this as almost a summer IPA. There is still definitely a nice hop flavor but you get the Belgian flavors too. If you like either style you're probably bound to like this one. It's a good choice for an ipa on a hot summer day. It would probably also be a good one for people transitioning into IPAs from the Belgin style.

Bear Republic, Fat Head's, and Stone TBA

TBA = Texas Brown Ale, just in case you wanted to know.

This was hoppier than I thought it would be.  It was drinkable and delicious, but lighter than I thought it would be.

Alchemist/Ninkasi/Stone More Brown Than Black IPA

Not a fav beer over all. One of the better bipas though.

This was not one of our favorite beers of all time.  However, this may have been the first black IPA that we didn't contemplate immediately pouring out.  I feel like that's a big endorsement for not liking this style at all.

Bruery/Elysian/Stone La Citrueille Cèleste de Citracado

This beer was much better fresh, but it was still a pretty tasty collaboration beer.

Dogfish Head, Victory, Stone Saison du Buff Collaboration

Oooohhh!  This beer was quite in color.  The flavors in this beer were overwhelming.  The hubby had this one year previously and enjoyed it and recommended we eat it with Italian food.  The fact we were eating food with some of the same flavors was the only thing that made this somewhat ok.  Definitely not my favorite from any of the breweries who collaborated on this.

Stone Old Guardian Barely Wine

This one was okay for a barley wine.  I am still not a fan, but this one I could drink.

Will has fond memories of this one since it was the first barely wine he ever tried way back in the day.  He picked up what he thought was pineapple notes on the beer and thought it was smokier than he remembered.
