Sierra Nevada Beer Camp #94 Belgian Black IPA

Normally black IPAs are not my thing, but this one wasn't too shabby. It had a really nice hop flavor and delicious taste to it. I would drink it again for sure.

Sierra Nevada Ovila Quad with Plums

This beer was delicious.  I'm not a giant quad lover, but this one was definitely tops.  The beer smelled of plums and sweet, but not over the top.  It drank quite smoothly and there were layers of flavor.  One of my favorite beers I've had recently.

Sierra Nevada Oatmeal Stout (Beer Camp #45)

I was a bit disappointed in this oatmeal stout.  Compared to other beers in the style, I did not get as much of the of flavors I'd expect.  It was a bit heavy and chewy to drink.  It was ok and I'd drink it again, but wouldn't hunt this one out.

Sierra Nevada Imperial Pilsner (Beer Camp #43)

I was quite surprised by this beer.  I am normally not a pilsner drinker and find them to be boring, but this one was flavorful and floral.  This one won't be around for long, so I'd grab one if you can!

Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale

For a barely wine, this was pretty good.  I drank it, but wasn't as much a fan as the husband was.

Sierra Nevada Hoptimum

Woooooohooo.... After a night of eating sweet ice cream and drinking beers that were sweet and woody, this beer was quite bitter.  The IBUs were burst through your mouth obvious. Some definite floral notes.

Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

This was one of the bottles that we opened and decided we probably shouldn't have aged from Christmas time until April.  It has fresh hops and those aren't so good for aging.  It smelled quite hoppy, but the flavor was a little funky.  It probably would have been much better fresh - we'll try again next year.

Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye

It's not what I expected.  It's good.  I like it.  It was quite hoppy.  Turns out it's a seasonal so be sure to check it out this spring while you can!

Beer Advocate likes it.

Sierra Nevada Porter

This porter was kind of disappointing.  After giving Sierra Nevada's Stout a try, I was hoping to open a beer that was just as exciting and delicious.  However, this porter was weak and uninteresting.  Overall, I was a bit disappointed in it.  I wouldn't say it was bad, but definitely not on my top porter list.

Beer Advocate thinks this is good.
Here is Sierra Nevada's info on this beer.

Sierra Nevada Stout

Quite a flavorful stout.  My first sip I was a bit caught off guard.  The flavors were strong like an imperial stout, but there wasn't the same high alcohol feeling to it.  Overall it was quite a good stout.  I enjoyed it, but it's definitely not for beginners on the darker beers.

Beer Advocate loves this stout!
