Founders Rübæus

The raspberry flavors where quite plentiful in the beer and it was fruity, it wasn't like a typical beer at all. More like drinking fizzy raspberries with a hint of beer.

Adirondack Raspberry Watermelon

If you like fruit beers, you'd love this one. The raspberry and watermelon paired well together and overall it was a pretty good beer. I don't think I'd drink it regularly, but it was definitely a nice treat on a warm summer afternoon.

Curious Traveler Shandy

Brewed as "Curious Traveler" beers, this is really made by Boston Beer Company.  I had this on tap and was quite surprised by how good it was.  It was light and flavorful and tasted almost like a real shandy.

Samuel Adams American Kriek

We had this one on the Sam Adams tour.  It was decent - a bit sour and a lot of cherry taste.  Not my favorite one ever, but still pretty good.

Blue Moon Blackberry Tart Ale

For a Blue Moon it wasn't 100% terrible, however there wasn't a lot of blackberry flavor going on.

War Horse Riesling Ale

This is an appropriate brew considering that it's made at a winery.  Three Brothers is neat in that there are several wineries and this brewery all in the same location.  This beer itself was light and easy to drink.  I imagine if it was summer and I wanted a light, crisp beer it'd be great.  It was a crowd pleasing type of beer. Maybe not for the craft beer connoisseur, but still decent.

Great Divide Wild Raspberry Ale

This beer is good if you like raspberry and fruit ales.  Try mixing it with the chocolate yeti.  It was yummmmm.

Bull & Bush 4.0 GPA

Not as grapefruity as I'd like.  It was ok for a pale fruit beer.  Not something I think I'd order again.

Glacier Flathead Cherry Ale

OMG it smelled like face cherry cough syrup.  If you drink it without smelling it, it's quite gross.  If you drink while smelling it tricks your nose into thinking there's actually some cherry flavor in the beer.  The husband says it tastes and smells like "red."  I'd skip it.

Great Northern Wild Huckleberry

This was quite lagery.  The hubby opened it and poured it and said it smelled strongly of huckleberry upon opening.  I could taste it in the beer, but he didn't get the taste as much.  It wasn't as much huckleberry as I'd like overall.  I would drink it only to say I've tried it, never again.

Shock Top Raspberry Wheat

This one doesn't have a picture, sorry folks.

We picked this up to bring to a Navy party.  It was cheap and on base and girls were hosting the party.  Thus, we went for mass appeal.  It tastes a bit mass produced and has a slight tinge of cough syrup flavor, but it was really easy to drink.  It wasn't as overpoweringly sweet as I'd expect it to be.  For those girly girls who think they hate beer, this is a good choice possibly.  If you're a beer lover, I'd skip it, unless you're going to a party where you need large quantities of cheap beer.

Dogfish Head Positive Contact

Out of the music series I've had it's in the middle of my preference (Bitches Brew will probably always be my favorite).  It has a spice to the finish of the drink, which is ok, but not my favorite feeling.  I like the lightness and carbonation levels.

To get this beer, I drove over 40 miles to a beer store and waited in line early in the morning on Saturday for an hour before the store opened.  I was #9 of 14 or so to get this beer.  I don't know if was worth all the effort I went through to get it, but if it was just sitting on store shelves, I would have picked it up and been quite satisfied.  The husband was a big fan of it, maybe it's because he didn't have to do the waiting in line.

Laughing Dog Huckleberry Cream Ale

Not a lot of huckleberry flavor. Just like a plain tasting ale to me.  This was not very impressive or very fruity.  Overall, it was a bit of a let down.  You should skip this one.

Buffalo Bill's Strawberry Blonde Ale

Bleh. This was quite gross. It tasted of super fake flavor and not even a good fake flavor. Almost a plastic strawberry taste. I definitely won't be drinking this one again.

Maui Brewing Sobrehumano Palena’ole

Quite flowery tasting and some interesting flavors.  I liked it but I wouldn't have been sad if I didn't get to try it.  It was a bit pricey ($3 for the can), so I don't know if I'd drink it more often.

Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy

This beer was surprisingly good for what it is.  It is perfect for summer afternoon BBQs.  It has a lot of lemonade flavor, but not the overly fake type of flavor.  I really didn't want to like this beer, but sadly I did.  I can only imagine it being perfect for the early afternoon drinking time.

Leinenkugels Berry Weiss

This beer is quite pink.  You pour it out and you wonder if you can handle a pink beer.  It smells so strongly of berries.  It is, of course, a bit sweet.  The flavor is ok, but not something I'd drink on a regular basis.

Dogfish Head Faithfull Ale

I had heard this was a terrible beer, but was determined to try and judge for myself.  For once, I really wish I had listened to other people and saved myself the money.  The beer itself was so boring.

Compared to other beers from DFH, this may have been the worst thing they've ever produced.  Bitches Brew (based off the Miles Davis album) was amazing and mind blowing and was like music in my mouth.  Pearl Jam's beer was the most boring thing ever.

The only reason you should buy this beer is if you are the biggest Pearl Jam lover or if you are faithful to DFH and want to try it.

Dogfish Head Fort

Holy ABV (18%)!  This tastes kind of like raspberry alcohol, but in a good way.  It was sweet and delicious and got me a bit drunk unintentionally.  This is an overall impressive beer.

DFH suggests cellaring one of these, and I can only imagine how much more awesome that would be...I don't think there are a lot of fruit beers that would handle that.

Dogfish Head Aprihop

Once again, these were a bit aged.  They're not nearly as good as when they are fresh.  Then again, I think this years batch was better than previous years.  It left very nice lacing on the glass as we drank them.
