New Belgium & Alpine Super IPA

We had this on tap at the pine box.  It was so hoppy and almost tasted you were drinking straight hops.  YUMMMMM!  Definitely one to try if you can get it!

New Belgium Shift Pale

This was hoppier than I expected for a pale lager.  It was pretty good and would be perfect to take to a summer BBQ.  Bonus points for this being in a can and ready to go for summer!

New Belgium Ranger IPA

This beer is ok and sessionable for an IPA.  New Belgium seems to be good but never knock my socks off.  This beer falls into that category.  I enjoy these and would easily pick up a 6 pick pack for a weekend, but wouldn't be hunting for it.

New Belgium Frambozen

For being a fruit beer, I think this one is quite enjoyable.  When you're not drinking other fruit beers, the raspberry definitely stands out.  However, compared to some of the other fruit beers, especially the holiday ones, this one isn't unpleasantly strong.  The raspberry is only slightly artificial tasting and I think it would go great next to a warm winter fire.

See New Belgium's site for more info.

Lips of Faith Kick

This beer is described as being pumpkin mixed with cranberry.  The cranberry was fairly prominent in this beer.  The pumpkin was a bit of an aftertaste.  Overall, it was good.

Here's some facts from New Belgium about Kick.

New Belgium Fat Tire

No picture of this one (yet)!

So I was at a bar and was attempting to order beers off tap but unfortunately their system was broken or something like that.  So I was forced to drink whatever they had in bottles.  They initially brought me Fat Tire and I stuck with it for the evening.

I've had Fat Tire on and off throughout my beer drinking years.  When I was in college a friend drank Fat Tire and I thought it was the grossest thing in the world.  Then again, my beer of choice at the time was Miller High Life or Corona.  As I started getting into craft beers, I thought this one was ok, but still not my favorite.  I don't think I've hit a point where I love this, but it's a good go-to in bottles.  It's a people pleaser and pretty drinkable.

Overall, I can totally drink this beer.  But would I ever go to the store and buy it for myself  to drink?  Probably not.
