Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail

I don't think I've had a beer that I didn't like from Evil Twin. There beers tend to be a bit pricier, but I think they're worth every penny. This Imperial IPA is amazing and has such complex flavors. It's worth the purchase, but I suggest getting a 4 pack, since once you have one you'll want another.

Stone RuinTen IPA

While in Boston we read on a blog that they had RuinTen on tap, just after it was released.  We made a special trip to a bar just for this.  It was worth it.  OMG it was worth it.  This beer is amazing.  It's similar to 120 Minute by Dogfish Head, but not as sweet.  I love this beer and can guarantee if I see it again, I will get it!  This one is worth hunting down folks...yes, it's that good.

Samuel Adams Third Voyage Double IPA

This was a nice double IPA.  It was good, but without being overpowering at all.  It's a easy to drink beer for sure.

Dogfish Head Hellhound On My Ale

The husband loves this beer.  I am on the fence.  This IPA has some definite lemon notes to it.  It's hoppy.  It's strong.  I am only somewhat in love with this beer.  The lemon is a bit strong for me and the citrus is just so overpowering to my palate.  It's one to try if you see it - you'll either love it or hate it.

Sixpoint Resin

This was a very good beer.  It wasn't as hoppy as I expected for the IBUs.  It was nice and smooth.  It reminded us a Pliny.  Not quite that level, but still comparable.

Mikkeller 1000 IBU

This beer was like 120 Minute but without all the booze taste.  It was fabulous and over the top hoppy.  Definitely try one if you happen to see one.

Odell Myrcenary Double India Pale Ale

We had this one on tap at Falling Rock in Denver, Colorado.  It was good and I'd definitely drink it again.  Clearly as the day went on in Denver, I continued to take great notes.

Breckenridge 471 Small Batch IPA

This was a pretty tasty IPA.  Definitely one to try if you come across it.  And it's strong at 9.2% ABV so watch yourself.

Bull & Bush 41st Anniversary Double IPA

Whoa!  Strong.  Even more burnt/smokey taste than the Man Beer.  Good, but high ABV.

Harvest Moon Elevator Imperial IPA

Ehhhhhh...this wasn't impressive for an imperial IPA.  There were hops there, but there's a funky aftertaste.  Considering it's from Montana it's decent.

Odell Myrcenary Double IPA

This beer is named for a component of the hop flower.  The beer was almost tropical and definitely quite floral.  It was a bit warm when we poured it (thanks to a hotel fridge) and it was quite foamy.  It was a good beer, but nothing to hunt down.

New Belgium & Alpine Super IPA

We had this on tap at the pine box.  It was so hoppy and almost tasted you were drinking straight hops.  YUMMMMM!  Definitely one to try if you can get it!

Stone 16th Anniversary IPA

Holy lemons!  This beer tastes a bit like Pledge, but in a good way.  It made me crave Chinese lemon chicken.  It was delicious and fresh tasting.  Despite the lemon, it was super easy to drink.  As it warmed up, it lost of the lemon edge.  It smelled delicious and tasted just as good.  Definitely one I'd suggest you grabbing before it's gone.

Pyramid Outburst Imperial IPA

This imperial IPA tastes more like a regular IPA than an imperial to me.  It's not bad, but just not as big and bold as I'd expect for an imperial - really there are only 80 IBUs which seems low for some reason.  It's a decent beer, but a bit sweet.

Harmon Brewing Rajah's Royal IPA

Smells quite different than the last IPA I drank right before. It tastes so similar to something I've had before but can't really place the taste.  It's got a slight banana taste, which leads me to believe it may taste similar to the last batch of Monk's Blood we had.  The beer is thick with sugar and malt.  Harmon claims this has 100 IBUs, but I didn't taste the hops in there nearly as much as the Hop Stoopid at 102 IBUs.  It's an ok beer and I'd give it a try once, but definitely not a regular one for me.  Also, it's seasonal so pick it up if you see it.
