The Beer Junction is yet another beer store located in West Seattle. The husband and I hit this on a tour of Seattle beer places. Though we have our regular beer stores, we wanted to check out some other locations. I really liked how this store was organized. It made a lot of sense to me.
They have a frequent buyer card available, and if I lived closer I would definitely have one of those cards and would frequent here often. When we visited they had 8 taps, but looking at their website it seems they may have upped that to 16 now. They have tastings on occasion and you can stop and sample whenever. They have limited seating available if you want to sit and enjoy.
You'll find that there is some street parking and there there is parking (for up to 3 hours) behind the store. Check out their website for all the important details, ya know, like hours and location.

Hopworks Ace of Spades
The beer was good, but the hubby says it doesn't compare to what it's like on tap. It was quite hoppy and delicious. I'd definitely pick it up a few more times.

BEER STORE REVIEW: Super Deli & Grocery
Super Deli Mart is unexpected in all sorts of ways. Really, it is a mini mart. It has a parking lot with about 8 spots in it. It's on a corner in West Seattle in WA. Unless you lived in the neighborhood or hunted it out, you'd never really stumble upon it.
It had a surprisingly good beer selection. There were coolers in the back filled with all sorts of great beers. The had a few aisles filled with beers too. And they have 4 taps. That's right, the mini mart has taps. You can grab a beer and hang out inside this mini mart.
They advertise keg rentals. When I was there I saw a Seattle PD officer smoking a cigar in the parking lot and arranging for his keg to go.
I don't know if this is a beer destination that I'd travel far to, but when doing our beer tour through Seattle it made a nice first stop since it was close to the ferry line we took. And by all means, if you live in West Seattle, you need to start hanging out here!

Dogfish Head Positive Contact
Out of the music series I've had it's in the middle of my preference (Bitches Brew will probably always be my favorite). It has a spice to the finish of the drink, which is ok, but not my favorite feeling. I like the lightness and carbonation levels.
To get this beer, I drove over 40 miles to a beer store and waited in line early in the morning on Saturday for an hour before the store opened. I was #9 of 14 or so to get this beer. I don't know if was worth all the effort I went through to get it, but if it was just sitting on store shelves, I would have picked it up and been quite satisfied. The husband was a big fan of it, maybe it's because he didn't have to do the waiting in line.

Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale (DBA)
This was ok. It was left in my fridge from a friend and I imagine it would have been better if it was fresher. It was easy to drink.

Maui Brewing La Perouse White
It's surprisingly fruity for a wittier. Maybe that's how they brew wits on the islands. Smells better than it tastes. Drinking while watching the beach volleyball during the Olympics and I feel like the smell fits perfectly. It was an ok beer, but not really my stle.

BEER STORE REVIEW: Europa Bottleshop
Europa Bottleshop is located in Poulbo, WA. The town itself is cute and adorable and you should visit there, even if you're not going to the bottleshop. The town has a Scandinavian feel and everything relates or tries to tie into that theme.
They offer a great selection of not only local and US beers, but a lot of international beers as well. They are slowly expanding their selection and has great potential. The first time we visited a few years ago the back room was nearly empty. It now is filled with glassware, clothing, some wines and ciders, and extra beers.
If you do visit, I suggest going upstairs to Tizley's for some food!
